The best Taylor Swift songs (in no particular order)

I am a proud Swiftie, as are my kids. Here are the seven best Taylor Swift songs (in no particular order).

My kids and I, like much of the world, have spent an inordinate amount of time listening to Taylor Swift’s music this year. And I am definitely not mad about it. In fact, it has been quite fun to learn what songs my kids love and how they compare to the ones I love.

My youngest is currently obsessed with Welcome To New York, though loves her some Shake It Off, too.

My oldest is into Bejeweled and Cruel Summer, while her OG favorite will always be ME!

My favorites? Those would be the ones listed below. AKA the seven best Taylor Swift songs. In no particular order, BECAUSE HOW COULD I CHOOSE?!

  1. Bejeweled: I know I said this was in no particular order, but this is definitely my current favorite and one that I will make everyone stop talking and sing along with me in the car whenever it comes on. Which is often.
  2. the 1: I just love this one. I love the beat, I love the lyrics, I love it all. My favorite line in the whole thing: In my defense, I have none. GAWD it just hits all the right notes.
  3. I Can Do It With A Broken Heart: For starters, the line lights, camera, bitch, smile is brilliant. We like to shout that one. And then there’s I cry a lot but I am so productive, it’s an art. I feel that one deep in my soul. (And I’m not sure that’s a good thing.)
  4. Down Bad: This song always puts me in a good mood. I just love the whole vibe. As my oldest would say, it’s aesthetic. My favorite part is when she sings for a moment I knew cosmic love. There’s just something so dang special about that part of the song for me.
  5. Teardrops On My Guitar: This is the OG song that got me to love TayTay in the first place. Might not be one of her best, but it’s one for the memory banks.
  6. Lavender Haze: I heard somewhere that Taylor Swift feels in colors and one, if that’s true, HOW COOL. And two, what an interesting way to think about and describe something that’s often quite intangible. Obviously this song is A+ on its own, but thinking about the emotional connection makes it even cooler.
  7. willow: evermore isn’t my favorite album of hers; in fact, this is the only song on it I truly like. But, dang, did she hit it out of the park with this one.

Do you have a favorite Taylor Swift song? And why is it one of the 7 listed above? (Just kidding. I am sure I could have added another 15 songs to the list. You have to start somewhere, right!)
