In true Made With Lev form, this month’s TWELVE by TWENTY FOUR project features art made by my kids. It’s beautiful and unexpected and altogether one of my favorite ways to upcycle their art and show it off for the entire world to see. I’m not going to lie, I was a little nervous about this month’s TWELVE by TWENTY FOUR launch since I’ve been knee deep in a creative rut for the past month. After talking to my mama and thinking through what I had the creative energy to actually do, I decided it would be something that featured…

As a chronic over-doer who likes to dive feet first into really involved projects, make sweeping changes to my life (and menu) on a whim, and decide that I need to do eight million things to be the best version of myself I can be … ooooonly to realize a week or two later that I’ve take on too much and struggle to keep up, I know first hand how hard it can be to make lasting changes. I also know how frustrating that cycle of planning, doing, failing, and chastising truly is. Which is why last month, while I…

After January’s reading binge, I was curious to see if I was able to keep up the same pace. Turns out, I was. Almost. I had a few books that I didn’t finish and found myself in a slump where I just couldn’t seem to motivate myself to read or listen to pretty much anything. Hello, creative slump. Thankfully, I found a series at the end of the month that captured my attention and spent 3 days binge-reading every book in the series. PHEW. My reading queue was more of the same, with romance novels taking up most of the space…

I am officially in a creative rut. I legit haven’t made anything since I finished the Love Bunnies a few weeks ago. I’ve wanted to create things. I think about all of the fun new projects I want to start on a daily basis, only to feel tired and listless when I actually have the time to sit down and create. Even the books I’ve been reading lately have been lackluster and blah. I’ve sent 3 — THREE! — different books to the DNF (did not finish) pile, which is highly unusual and truly disappointing. Instead of creating, I have been spending hours upon hours…

Say hello to February’s TWELVE by TWENTY FOUR release: Love Bunnies. They are sweet (and oh-so-soft) fleece plushies for your hugging and squeezing pleasure. Show somebunny that you love them with the sweetest little buns in grey, white, or dark brown. February 12th marked two very important things. So in honor of all things love (like Taylor Swift herself, Swelce, and Valentine’s Day), may I present to you February’s item: LOVE BUNNIES. I originally made these sweet buns for my girls last year around the holidays because I wanted to try my hand at sewing plushies. The girls adored them,…

From killer romances to billionaires next door, I managed to read a grand total of 12 books in January. Some were good and some … weren’t. Read on to find out which books were my favorite and which books I didn’t quite love. Every year I set a goal for the number of books I want to read and then promptly forget about it halfway through the year. Last year, I didn’t even remember setting a goal to read 26 books. Thankfully, I discovered a love for listening to audiobooks while creating and ended up binge-listening to 38 books between…

With the perfect combination of tart and sweet, these Lemon Blueberry Muffins are the perfect thing to make when you’re craving something sweet but not too sweet. If you ask my kids what their favorite thing to make in the kitchen together, the answer would hands down be muffins. And if you asked them what their favorite muffins to make are, they would shout very confidently, LEMON BLUEBERRY MUFFINS. The Big Kid is absolutely obsessed with all things lemon. (Lemon chicken, lemon crinkle cookies, lemon blueberry scones, green tea lemonade…) The Little Kid pretty much loves whatever her sister loves…
